We received word on October 13, 2007 that Cheryl Stalcup Jaeger passed away.  A memorial service was held on
October 13th at First United Methodist Church, Odem, TX.  Cheryl was in the Class of '65.  
Karen Childress Neff, Class of '62,  passed away on September 12, 2007.   Karen had MS and passed away battling
cancer.  For many of us from the late '50's and early 60's, there are sweet memories of slumber parties at the beautiful
Childress home in Odem.  Karen was a special individual, with wonderful humor and spirit.  
From Lola Wallis Pate, Class of '63:  Chester Harper Bosworth, Jr, (Class of '64) 61, passed away Sunday, August 12,
2007 in a Corpus Christi hospital following a short illness. He was born in Wigan, England and had been a resident of San
Patricio County for the past 46 years. He had been empolyed as a property manager for the last 25 years. Survivors
include his wife of 40 years, Johnnie Mae Bosworth of Sinton and his three children

"Unfortunately, there are 2 more deaths to add to the website (both young). This has been a hard couple of months for
Odem.   Jo-Anna Perez Suarez. She was only 37 -- graduate  of 1988.and David Ray Gomez -- only 39 and a graduate of

Hector Martinez, Sr., age 49 (Class of '77) passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008 at his residence after  fighting a
courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born  September 25, 1958 in Sinton, Texas and had been a resident of Edroy
all of his life.  Hector's funeral was on February 5th

Bryan David Webb, 37, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in a Houston hospital following a sudden illness. He was
born in Corpus Christi, Texas and had resided in Houston for the past few months, moving there from Austin. He was an
air conditioning technician.  Survivors include one son, Justin Webb of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his mother and
stepfather, Ann and Frank Largin of Odem, Texas; his father and stepmother, Stanley and Sylvia Webb, III of Odem,
Texas; three brothers, Wade Webb of Odem, Steven (Kim) Webb of Portland, Texas, and Nathan (Stephanie) Webb of
Kenmore, Washington; two sisters, Joy Webb of Pasadena, Texas and Mickey (Randy) Watson of Odem.
Dennis Ray Thomas Sr (Class of '67)., age 60, born July 5, 1947,  passed away Thursday, February 7, 2008, with his
loving family by his side after a long battle with cancer.  He is preceded in death by his parents Howard and Ellen Thomas
and a brother Ervin Lee Thomas, long-time Odem residents.   Dennis’ final wishes were to donate his body to Life Legacy
Tissue and Organ Research Center in Tuscon, Arizona to help further the research and help find a cure for the cancer from
which he suffered, with cremation to follow.  In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, Dennis is survived by
brothers Harold and Winston and sister Mary Ellen, all Odem-Edroy I.S.D. exes.
Elliot White passed away Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 2:00 AM in Florida.  Elliott was in the Class of '55.
IN AN EMAIL FROM BILL GREENWOOD ON JULY 14, 2008, he passed on the news that Martin Mancias had passed
away on July 13.   Martin was in the Class of '68.  Some of Bill's comments:
  "He was a very good football player, and in
my opinion, the best drummer to ever play in the band.  Martin also had more school spirit than any you will remember.  
Martin is the brother of Maggie Mancias Matthews.  Martin and I used to argue who was Maggie’s #1 basketball fan.  He
said he was her #1 fan and I was #2."
Martin was buried at San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
